Just thought this may be interesting for anyone that has concerns about reliability issues with 6.7 and Aisin transmission. Where I work we have three 5500 4x4 bucket trucks that on certified scales weigh 17000 to 17800 lbs, that between the three average 225000 miles and 11000 hrs each. The major problems we have had is, one front differential, one rear differential, the dreaded Y pipe on the cooling system, one fan clutch, and of course batteries. These three are not deleted and are pre DEF and DEF trucks. 30000 mile transmission service, 10000 mile engine oil per UOA samples. Just thought this may usefull information.

Thanks

we are or were running 5 2009 Ram 5500's for road service... they have held up pretty well. most of them are past 200k, all city driving. one of them had a premature engine failure at about 15k miles, replacement was done under warranty

we are down to 3 , two of them were wrecked so far.
