'Vibration" at stop lights?

I’ve had 2 second gens and 2 third gens, put well over a million miles of combined driving behind a cummins. Just bought a 20 Laramie in September and I’ve already put 30k on her. Love every minute I get to drive it! Tows great and I often put pallets of stone in the bed which can be 2 to 3 thousand pounds and it does great. I’d say take the plunge if you can afford it.

As far as emissions go I believe people who delete their trucks will have a rude awakening some day. They are cracking down no matter what state you’re in. It’s a federal rule and I’ve heard some big numbers for fines if you’re caught, To me it’s not worth it….

I couldn’t be happier and I’m most certainly going to buy another 5th gen to give to my mason in the near future.

That's always great news to hear! The days of deleting trucks are coming to a close, especially with tightening emissions regulations and big fines.

My days are done with light duty trucks.

I would've went to a HD, if it wasn't for my hankering to try the EcoD out. Only live once to try something different.

In some regard, I'm glad they discontinued the EcoD so I can look forward to not be swayed to another light duty truck. But part of me wants more folks to enjoy diesel technology. Good diesel technology that is, like the Cummins provides.

Went from a 05 5.9 to a F150 3.0. It was a great 1/2 ton truck. 27 mpg running 75 mph. But it wasn’t a Cummins. Just bought a 2023 Limited Longhorn and couldn’t be happier. Talked to an owner of a diesel repair shop here in central N. C. He works on all 3 every day. He said they all have their quirks. But they are all good engines.

I own a 06 2500 4x4 with 237,000 miles and about 7800 engine hours. It is completely stock with the exception of a Red Head steering gearbox. I chose to invest in my 06 and skip buying a new one. My reasoning has everything to do with how I use my truck and the simplicity of working on it. My truck is my daily driver that is used for commuting to the store, taking things to the dump, going camping in the mountains, road trips, towing a 35 foot travel trailer and our family's farming equipment. I am the only person who drives it and I drive it everywhere except to a large city due to parking! The truck is in extremely good condition and does everything I want it to do so there is no reason to upgrade it at this time. (even though I have been tempted a time or two!)
