Installed the Vulcan big line & pump relocate kit today. My first impression is very good. Run the truck about 5 miles today. Idle was 15. 5 lbs. Running down the freeway at 65 was 13. 5 to 14 lbs. Normally it is about 11 lbs. Will know much more after I run it pulling. The only sorta negative comment is that there was metal filings in a couple of the fittings and I never received any washers in my kit. Is the fitting that is used to install a schrader valve the same one that is used under the fuel filter can for guage hookups? I noticed my lift pump whineing as well. Anybody have a whine noise from lift the pump. My bracket is insulated from the frame etc.
Thanks - J

Wining meaning you can hear the pump? Yes I can hear my pump. Sounds like you have a good pump. I have found that those numbers will stay constant even while towing Oo.

I installed a Vulcan kit last week and I just have the warning light so I dont know what my pressurers are yet, but the truck seems to run better. I cannot hear the pump when the truck is running. I am very pleased with the settup. The tapped fitting is under the filter with a short piece of hose running to the pressure sender. Eric was a lot of help!
