Had a setup like in the first pic here and I made it not realizing I didn't have enough room on the frame (shortbed). I had it mounted above the driveline on the plate you see. The driveline came up and touched it several times so I needed a different plan.

This is where I put the filter. in the hollow of the front of the bed, in front of the rear wheel well, I used a bed cross beam with a longer metal on each side and a bolt all the way through so it is secure, then rewire the connections and used mostly 3/8 line to plumb it. you see the red valve on the right, it serves 2 purposes, 1 it shuts off the fuel for changing the spin on filter, and 2 it is an effective anti theft device. I actually tested it, truck runs for about 30 seconds then dies. I have a good amout of PSI so after it did that, I ran the pump and it started.

THis is the Pusher pump I relocated to the ouside of the frame just above the E brake cable. I drilled and tapped the frame for mounting. I used small lengths of 3/8 line for the rubber mounts behind the bracket. the one-way check valve is for incase the pusher pump isn't working.

I dont see how that Racor filter could flow enough Eric? Cant tell which it is but usually the small ones like that are 20 GPH or so. I thought we should at least have 40-50 GPH to be safe? Just curious how well it does.

This is the R-45p so I imagine it flows about 45 GPH. is is a 30 micron filter so all it does is catch the big stuff and separate the water

filters and pumps

I like most of the setup but though of mounting it on the 1/4 inch bolted to the frame and to use larger tubing but haven't got to that yet. I had the Raycore 445 in my 93 with the 2 micron filter and that was in the winters at -40's and had no problems even though people told me I would have.
