Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Reman VP44 on truck from the factory?

Did dodge put reman vp44 on from the factory? Up until now I thought my truck was on the first vp44. When Putting in my injectors I saw a sticker on the injection pump that said remanufactured. I bought the truck with 82,000mi and checked the warrety claims on it and a clockspring recall came up, so figured the guy would have had the pump replaced under warrety if it had gone bad,but now I have seen this sticker. anybody else seen one of these's? thanks

I believe all the pumps being replaced are reman pumps...

The engine was sprayed with clear coat after final assembly and washing at the Cummins assembly plant. Is your VP clear coated? Is the clear coat on the injection line nuts damaged from wrenching?
