Remembering my fallen friends and brothers.
It will be one year ago to the day that two of my friends gave the ultimate sacrifice in battling a church blaze here in Pittsburgh. It was at the Ebenezer Baptist Church here in the Hill district the church was 131 years old.
My personal friend Battalion Chief Charles G. Brace whom Iv learned a lot from, just from talking and training with him and his crew, and master Fire Fighter Richard A. Stefanakis. Both were killed when a steeple collapsed on them as they were inside searching for hot spots. If you would like to read more here is a link from last year. http://cms.firehouse.com/content/article/article.jsp?sectionId=39&id=27514
