Like I said before, since Eboughthima '96, we're going to hear about the crappy new ones until Ebuyshim a new one. He does make for some good humorous reading though! Keep it up. :D

Sorry won't be buying a new one ever. Eboughtima Ebuyshimanew? Too much time on your hands? Do you think the best truck in your fleet will be for sale soon? I'm talking about the 93 by the way.

Ditto KB, call dodge, find out how many parts are d/c for the 2nd gens, your truck is next buddy!-

Wasn't 2002 the last year for 2nd gen trucks? What parts are discontinued for a 3 year old truck? Enquiring minds would like to know.

Ain't gonna happen. Last I heard the asst mgr position at Radio Shack only pays about $5. 15/hr. "New ones" are $40k+ .....

He has a good point. Alot of interior parts, and some other stuff. I come across it all the time, Mopar seems to drop support of their vehicles whenever there is a model change.

BTW an 02' is now 4 years old, since the 06' model years are hitting the lot. ;)

Isn't that against the law? I thought a manufacturer had to support a product seven years after making it obsolete?

Against the law? Maybe, but they are big, you are small and they don't care... Most mechanical parts stay in stock for a long time. Example, remember those old d50 ram's from the late 80's early 90's. Well, we have been trying to find the vacuum secondary diaphgram for the mikuni carb. No luck, dodge does not stock anymore. Only way to get it is buying a rebuilt carb from dodge for over 1000 dollars. Now that is bad parts support. Dodge is prob the worst domestic auto maker for keeping parts around for the long haul. 2nd gen seat bottoms were costing 900 bucks. not in stock anymore. A lot of the interior parts, moldings and small stuff are not avalible anymore. You can keep the cummins running but the rest of the truck is hard.

The radio shack job, no i don't work there. You seem to have to be muslim or indian to work there. Both of I am not... . Nice joke though.

Glaze - Last year, I "Did the math" and traded my '99 in on an 04. 5 325/600. I do miss the "real Truck" sound and power of my old truck. I have had occasion to take a couple long trips in the new truck. It is growing on me as time goes by. It is definately a worthy road traveler.
