remote oil filter kit

Anybody have a remote oil filter kit on that you can post some pics or some feedback on where you mounted the filter. I need a kit that accepts the fleetguard filters. Thanks for any replies. Kurt.

We make one that takes the stock filter and mounts it to the front of the engine, it all bolts up nice and neat. I got 150k miles on mine.

Just curious, why do you want to mount it in another area? I have done this before on other trucks, and it was a big mistake. No matter what quality lines and fittings I used there was always a leak. Maybe it was all the vibration, or shaking, up I could not get it to seal right. It would be fine then, for awhile, then start dripping. I was always having to look after it, and it really went on my nerves, just the thought of it was always there. I have used remote filters on race cars, and have not had any problems, but on trucks no luck. There are several sources for the parts, usually a spin on adapter and a alm remote, then just add lines. Jeggs, Summit, maybe Earl's, and Aeroquip. I wish you luck, and if you do it, use the best lines and fittings you can afford. Also the alm adapter, and remote are usually very fragile with respect to tightening the fittings, so don't over do it.

I put twin turbos on my truck & there is very little room to get at the filter. It looks like a real pain in the rear to replace it. I think it will be alot nicer to relocate the filter to gain access to it for servicing.

I know what you mean about leaks (and cracking) with the cast aluminum adaptors-- thats why I built the "Billet" aluminum ones.

Actually this uses a billet aluminuim mount specifically made to fit the cummins. It bolts up directly to the motor so you don't have to fab up mounts. We started making these two years ago in our machine shop and have had very good luck with them. I will post a link as soon as I get to the shop so you can look at it.
