I just installed a factory remote start kit on my 2007. I now have a check engine light. It is on when it is running by remote start and when running when started with a key. If you check for a code using the odometer window there is none. If I use my Smarty code reader is sometimes shows a P007E, PD421 and PD403. None of these codes are listed in the factory repair manual. Any one have any ideas. Also once when it wouldn't do anything, the light in the harness was flashing until I unplugged the big connector and plugged it back in.

P007E CHARGE AIR COOLER TEMPERATURE SENSOR CIRCUIT INTERMITTENT/ERRATIC

P0403 EGR CONTROL CIRCUIT/OPEN

I think your PD403 is actually a P0403. There is no PD421.

Go to Autozone or Advance Autoparts and have them use an OBD scanner and see what they get.

I found the wire next to the cam sensor wire that I had spliced into was loose. Now, with the 30 second delay before start, when it's cold it won't crank long enough to start. When it's warmed up, it starts fine.

IIRC there is a time adjustment feature for the diesel remote start. Recheck your instruction sheet.

All I saw in the instructions was a 30 second delay to allow the grid heater to cycle before trying to start. It should crank until it sees the rpm at the idle speed that was set during the "tach sense" programming. I ran through this step again and haven't had a chance to try it cold.
