Remote Start for EU3000

No, but I have considered one for my 3000. The install is the reason that I haven't bought one yet... ... .....

I have heard there is a remote shut off available. I imagine it would be less complicated. I like to check my "baby" before starting it anyway. We have four tailgaters that camp in a circle at football games. Three of us have Honda 3000s. The other has a new 5500 Onan Marquis. We rag him all the time about his "loud" generator. He brags about his remote start!

I just put one on mine and it is really pretty neat, you have 3 buttons 1 for stop 1 for start minimum choke and another for extreme cold and full choke. It sure will make it nice on those cold mornings up hunting, no more freezing your butt off. Mike

Does it work like advertised? I might just have to get one. It sure would be nice. Does the choke stay on for a certain amount of time or can it tell if the generator has started and then turns the choke off?

Engineered by one of America's top manufacturers exclusively for application to the Honda EU3000is Inverter generator. A hand held emiter similar to that used in the automobile industry, enables the operator to start and stop the EU3000is from 50 ft away (as you know, obstacles and atmospheric conditions do effect transmission distances; however we've had success at 130 ft). The system provides a Start/Stop function without compromising any of the "normal" production standard features of the generator. Should the key fob remote be misplaced, dropped in the lake or become ineffective for whatever reason, the generator can be operated "normally" with the key and manual choke. The three button key fob: (1) Start button provides momentary choke operation (2) Start button provides choke application as long as the button is depressed (3) Red stop button.
