Remote starter

Has anyone researched remote starters? Who makes a good product for the Gen 2 trucks?

I have a viper alarm with remote start and turbo timer built in and it works great.

I have an AutoPage... it has a turbo-timer feature, as well as the ability to start the truck and run it for a half hour every three hours... a very nice piece, no complaints here. It was on the truck when I bought it, I've only had the truck for 3 weeks now, tho.

I really like the DEI alarms. Viper, Clifford, Pythin, ect. They seem to be good units and I rarely, if ever, hear of any issues with them. Usually, it's a failed window module or the like.

Don't get caught up with the Audiovox/Prestige line of remote starter/alarms



I HAD one in my truck and within two weeks one of the internal relays gave out, a couple of months later it had a major internal short and could have easily taken my truck had I not used fuses.



Needless to say I wasted no time pulling it out.



I see a Viper alarm in my future...
