One of the Ontario TDR members that is not so web savvy is having issues getting his motor to run, so I am posting on his behalf.

I believe it is a 93. He replaced the injection pump with one from his donor motor and now that he has it back on the motor will not run. Said he has the motor at TDC and advanced the pump to correct timing, does have fuel firing from the injectors (If I understood correctly on the phone, he removed a few to watch the fuel fire and to inspect dribble!) but the motor still will not run.

Any thoughts to why the motor will not run? If you need more info I will see what I can get y'all.

Thanks!

If its a dribble at the injectors its not enough pressure to fire the engine. With an injector cracked it should spray outside the engine compartment onto the fender.

How long was the donor pump sitting and not running? The ULSD in a pump that has not been updated, and even updated ones, typically cause the PR valve to stick open and it won't build enough pressure to fire.

Two cases of exactly that in the last 6 months. Pulled the PR valve and it had FUZZ in it. Fixed one and the other was sent to be rebuilt. Crap fuel!!!
