When coming home from work last week there was a comotion up the road aways. Turned out to be a tacoma 4wd and a chebby 1500 trying, repeat, trying to pull a swamped oyster boat [25 ft ,no trailer] up a boat ramp and across the highway. I asked the chebby driver if he needed some relief. He promptly unhitched his rig . I thought the tacoma would make a good shock absorber ,so I let him be. I latched on to the tacoma's tow hook grabbed 4 low and pulled the tacoma[he was trying,A for effort]and the boat on up the ramp while the owner scrambbled to put pvc pipes under it. I paused for a bit to let the water drain out the holes in the boats bottom . Then dragged it about a hundred feet into a parking lot. ;) Boat crew said you can't beat that Cummins. They got That right.

About a year ago I ran into a couple in a U-haul who had drag the rear end coming out of a parking lot (it was about midnight). They had enough speed when coming out that the rear tires were about a foot off the ground (this was a big U-haul... pretty sure it's the biggest one they offer). I jacked it up just enough to get clearance from the rear bumper, got blocks under the tires giving about 2 inches of clearance at the bumper. My thoughts were that I could get enough momentum that when the rear tires came off the blocks and planted the bumper again that I could go ahead and drag it the rest of the way out. I got hooked up to it and hammered down (I have a 2wd truck). The couple was video taping the event, and as I let loose I saw there eyes light up, then scramble to get clear of the exhaust smoke:D They couldn't figure out how this 2wd truck had just saved the day... . I smiled and said "it's a cummins. ":D
