My $0. 02: I've had good success in the past with Meguiars car cleaner & polish.

Handglaze may not take off thick left on glue. I usually only use it for cleaning the paint of minor glue and imperfections. I have used some wal-mart stuff called "Tarminator" (for tar removal) that works well on the thick stuff. Might give it a shot if nothing else works.
