There was a thread on here a long time ago about removing decals and what people used and how they did it. can anybody put me on to it tks Radar doctor

Seems quite a few use a 3M eraser (3M Pinstripe and Decal Remover) which is a nubbed rubber wheel thing that spins high speed and rubs out the decal. I tried a similar (but cheaper) gadget on my fiberglass RV but wasn't real happy with it. You have to be careful not to stay in one spot and burn the paint.

I finally used citrus type paint remover on my RV.

ZERO Luck

We pulled some BIG body encompassing vinyl stickers off or our '97, it was a PITA project. The suggestions I have might include CAREFULLY using a heat gun, None of the myriad of chemicals that we tried was a home run. One morning it was super humid and the stickers peeled off pretty good. The big mess that we still have is on the body side moldings, the adhesive is still on them.

We also took one off in the top of the glass area, and it left a shadow.

Good Luck.

Thanks A Lot Guy's. . but These Decals Are On Glass. . sometime Ago I Saw On Here Something About Decal Removable... i Wished I Could Find The Thread. There Must Be Away To Type In A Key Word To Get It But I'm Not Aware How To Do That . Can Anyone Help Us Out Here. . Tks Radar Doctor

If they are on glass your should be able to use a razor blade, lift up a corner and pull it the rest of the way off

I removed them from a Greyhound bus. I tried several different formulas including the 3M. I also tried a heat gun. The best for me was a hair dryer, a putty knife, paint thinner, elbow grease and lots of patience.

On glass, I would first use a razor blade to remove most of it, then use alcohol to remove the remaining adhesive. If a lot of glue is left you can use the citrus paint stripper to soften it for scaping off.

When you get it all done you can polish the glass a bit with old fashioned Bon Ami cleanser.
