Hey guys! Quick question for ya. I had to declass (remove my Edge J/A) my truck today to bring it to the dealer for some warranty work. I took everything out. My question is this. Prior to earlier trips to the dealer I've always taken the Pyro thermocouple probe out, removed the fitting and plugged it with a 1/8 NPT pipe plug. I don't like this method because i'm afraid one day the plug is gonna fall through or fall out because it doesn't fit snug. So, this time, I took the thermocouple probe out and plugged the fitting with a 1/4" flared brass pipe cap. The fit is very good but I'm a little bit worried about the tempreture the brass cap will have to endure. Do you think the cap will be able to withstand 90 miles of 600+ degrees? I think so but I just wanted to send a shout out to someone that might know for sure.
Thanks!!
