2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Removing Front ABS sensor

Is there a trick to removing the black plastic ABS sensor on the front hubs of a 02 2500 4x4? I have the allen bolt out and the sensor rotates, but will not pull out of the hub. I tried to help the other side out with a screwdriver but of course it broke. I don't want to brake this side too. It looks like it should just pull out. Does the hub have to be off the truck?

I haven't done this truck , but on others sometimes if you can get to the other side from the bolt side and use a wooden dowel to tap it out , be carefull , hit it lightly and maybe have someone put a twisting motion on it at the same time , when you get it out clean the hole to help drive it back in.
