I am putting brakes on the front of my 2001 3500 4x4. I have the calipers off how do you get the pads out? I took out the slide pins too but still don't see how? Any tips are appreciated. If you know the torque on the caliper bolts and slide pins it would help. Good to know I lent my torque wrenches to a friend as usual after looking for 1/2 hour I remembered he has them for 6 weeks  I do brakes on my 99 C5 all the time to race it I just don't want to screw this up.

I now see I didn't need to take the caliper braket off as the Vette probably is the same got it all off now but still need the torques if you have them. Thanks for your help.

Still trying to get them on without taking the caliper bracket off. I took the other side off and removed the old pads with the bracket still on. Dark now so I will attack in the morning again.

I did it today in daylight the clip has to be removed the inner pads installed then the clip put in. The OEM pads lasted 22500 which is not great but the rotors look like new so I am happy. The OEM pads were 111. 00 and they had V pads for 48. 00 but I went for the better ones.

Good to hear you made it thru, I would have helped but I aint done my pads yet, I rotated tires at 40k and did a brake inspection and they look like I will easily get 100k out of them , I use my Jacobs brake alot and only use the wheel brakes to come to a complete stop.

cheers, Kevin
