Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) removing old pyro probe??

I am getting ready to sell my truck and am removing the gauges, The pyro probe seems especially stuck, I sprayed it with Wd 40 and letting it soak, any other suggestions for removing it??

Diesel fuel is a great penetrating liquid. Use some of that and after it sits for a while get a hammer drill. Put the drill on a low power setting so you don't snap the probe. You can up the power as you feel is safe. The hammering effect works wonders most of the time. Some heat wouldn't hurt either.

Try some liquid wrench and let it sit for a while. Should work better than wd40. Good luck.

Would using an anti- sieze compund when installing a temp probe help when removing? Or are the temperatures too high for this preventative measure to be effective?

Use some penetrating oil like PB Blaster or Kroil. WD40 :-laf

run the truck and get the manifold nice and hot, then spray the probe. sometimes this works well as it cools and shrinks the probe, sometimes its enough to hear it crack free.
