Trailer Brake Controller?

Mileage...

There must be a few of you "Happy Campers" out there that might have had this problem. While camping near or under pine trees there is sometimes a problem with pitch from the pine trees dripping on the awning. This is a messy ordeal when this happens. The pine pitch is almost like glue when it dries & certainly not easy to remove. While there might be commercial cleaners out there for this, I am not aware of any. I tried at Camping World with no success. The common cleaners do not work. I finally through experimenting have found that Denatured Alcohol is one antidote for getting this messy stuff off. Some of this unwanted mess has been on my trailers awning now for ten years. Denatured Alcohol did the job. Hope this helps a few out there that have been looking for a solution to this problem.

Happy camping.

I had that mess all over the 5th wheel and truck recently. I was trying every Mothers, Meguiars and protectall chemical known to man trying to get that stuff off. All it did was smear it around. I finally took one of those miracle cloths that I use on the truck. Instant removal, I could not believe it, all the chemicals I threw at it and they did nothing. A damp magic cloth and life is good.

BigMike,

My mistake I believe the name is magic cloth You can order them through TDR Member -- email address removed --. Send him your name and address, how many you require (They appear to last a long time). You will recieve a bill in the mail with the cloths. My Dad said he saw the same thing at Home Depot also. I can not verify this as I haven't looked.
