Glad to see you're still interested. Your chief has to be on board with the fact that there's also a liability issue to consider. It's tough with a volunteer dept. - you have to have bodies, so it makes it hard to crack down. But if the ship is run tighter, it will hopefully attract more high quality people. Also, some times the loose cannons grow up and improve over time. Maybe there's hope yet! Hang in there!
