Matt I am 30 miles out of Madison if you needed a place to park a trailer for short term (a little hard through the winter but) I could probably help out. True Ryder trucks don't go one way any more due to the fact that Budget bought the One-way business, but even budget has some diesels in there fleet they took over.

Craig

Craig:

Thanks for the offer.

As of right now - I am still not 100% sure that I am going.

Pretty cool, huh?! And I'm supposed to start work out there on 10/6/03. :-laf

I'll keep everyone updated - and thanks for the overwhelming response, as usual.

Matt

MTE: The good part is that I'll have a place of my own - which means there will be a couch or plenty of floor area for my friends to crash on. I fully expect people to come on out and visit me.

Leaving behind all my friends and family will be tough - but the move isn't forever - probably 3-5 years..... maybe more, maybe less.

MTY

Matt, if you really wanted your truck, I'll be driving from basically your neck of the woods (Vermont, then out I90 to I80) to Iowa both right after thanksgiving and after the holidays, returning to school. I could hook up to a u-haul car trailer and meet you somewhere out here. It would save you the worry of it making it this far, and you'd have the truck. I know you'll hate not having your truck, as I am right now. I should be re-trucked within a month or so Oo. Oo.

At any rate, keep us posted,

Scott

Scott - thanks for the offer. Dad has graciously agreed to drive it every few days - just to keep it limbered up.

All the places I'm looking at to live are within 2 miles of where I'll be working. Therefore, I'm only going to need the VW until I get me a house in a year or two... . then I'll be sled-pulling in my own backyard!!

Matt

Okay, and whatever happens in the long run, you'll always be able to find people to help, you don't even have to look outside the TDR, if you don't want to :D Good luck with your move.

Thanks dude!

The folks on the TDR have never ceased to amaze me with their overwhelming response to fellow members in need of darn near anything.
