Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) repair shop recommendation?

A friend has a stock 99 3500 with clutch/transmission problems. A local truck repair garage has replaced the clutch twice already, and he's looking for another option.

Who would you recommend here in the south-central Pa area?

What is the clutch and trans doing? Is it hanging up on disengaging? If so the trans syncro rings are wearing out.

I have not driven it, but he said it's getting harder to get it in gear, especially 2nd.

I'm really not trying to trouble-shoot it for him... . just find someone knowledgeable who can, and not rip him off in the process. Someone who is familiar with South Bend, Standard Transmission, etc. would be a plus!
