Vaughn, the Glove Box Control Module (GBCM) that Andy mentioned won't be a factor in your ETH. For the 2001's, Dodge changed the electrical system from switched negative to switched ground. I would check the FPS (Floormat position sensor), and the CCHTCM (Center console hinge tab control module). If neither of those are reading nominal 240volt, the problem is most likely in the engine. My guess would be clogged spark plug wires. A liter or two of a GOOD QUALITY drygas should cure it - otherwise you are going to have to look at a complete rebuild - a good shop will do all the extra's too such as inspect the fog lamp belt for wear, lubricate the clutch, and make sure the exhaust filter is functioning efficiently.

The spark plug wires that I bought for my Cummins are too short. Now where did I put that "wire stretcher"?

Aritcat, I'm actually running a switched floating ground system on my 2001. I have rubber insulator tires on my beast, so therefore, I have no direct ground path #ad

I have further BOMBed my electrical system by installing multiplexed electron aligment magnets around each battery cable. This complete electron management system precisely synchronizes electron velocity and timing, enhancing inter-electron harmony. This results in efficient electronic propegation throughout the entire wiring system of the truck, increasing electrical component efficiency, and reducing wasted heat. #ad

I thought the exhaust filter was ditched in favor of the extra can of "formavalve" 1Jan98.

BTW, haven't seen any of the white stove-black for a while (maybe JC Whitney?)

Papa Joe, if your faulty choke actuator led to the de-teething of the idler pulley, you may have a case for arbitration, but if they find one trace of Chevy fender within a quartermile of the circular guidance control, the warranty will be summarily voided.
This clause was added to all the "fine print" about 14 minutes after the first failure of an idler pulley, back in March of 1702, when it was discovered that certain choke actuators were being subjected to excessive pulling by certain members of Boston's idler population.
This verbage was unanimously approved by the RSRCEoL (Royal Society of RectoCephalic Enumerators of Legumes)
The Massey-Furguson Act has no bearing on excessively pulled idler chokes, be they toothless or otherwise, due to the fact that there's no aftermarket accessories (aside from Chevy fender) involved in this issue, which seems to affect 5 out of 5. 2 statisticians.

Hope this clears things up.

Good grief, guys. Andy, you sound like my fiancee when we first met 3 years ago. Her mother and sisters still talk like that.

Oh, by the way, my doomaflatchie valve seems to be stuck shut; any ideas on how to get it open. It is really affecting my whosamawhatsit and I have heard may shell my muffler bearings (forgot to change them every 10K). MNCumminsLVR- change the filter every other time you change the blinker fluid. About every 1000 uses, which means no one around here ever has to change theirs.
