Replace 5600 with G56

I've heard rumors, but I haven't seen it done. Any idea what would be involved? My brother's 03 that I just built the motor in has about 140k on it now. No transmission problems, but I am aware of the lack of parts availability for the 5600. He loves the truck and wants to keep it for a long time. I've got access to an 05 with a G56 with less than 20k on it that will be going back on the block soon and I can swap the transmissions if it is worth the trouble.

I'm not sure there's really any lack of parts. it seems like this rumor is just a product of DC's lousy customer support.

There's still vendor out there selling kits to install 5600s in place of 4500s and my local transmission shop tells me they have no problem getting parts to rebuild them.

That's alot of work to gain little (if anything). I certainly will never replace one of my NV5600's with a G56. I hate DMF's. Been there, done that and got the t-shirt.
