FYI

Transferflow has released the midship fuel tank for 2010 crew cab. It will be shipping Aug 16, 2010.

I have order one and give updates on the install and interface.

Transfer flow mid ship replacement tank. Installed the tank today there is two issues with the install one with the float and the other with the replacement filler neck.

The calibrate the float per manual the fuel gage reads way to high.

The filler tube does not bolt back into the plastic insert and the other part and the manual is wrong on how to secure the filler tube.

You will need two people and floor jack. The new tank weighs in about 200 pounds it is made of steel. The brackets fit into the hangers and the tank slides into the slot from old OEM tank.

Not looking forward in dropping the tank to correct the float angle.

Besides the two issue the tank works.

Titan tank

I love my TITAN TANK. I did the install over 2 years ago. Only weighs about 30 lbs max when first installed. The TITAN is made out of the same material the stock fuel tank is made out of. Capacity is 55 gallons. Alot lighter than steel/metal. Does not require 2 people to lift.

Is this new tank larger? I can see a steel tank being better, but at what cost. .

Yes the tank is about 8 feet long compare to the oem tank at 6 feet. I will tank couple photos of it next week. I need to drop it again and readjust the float level.

You need to call and get the cost and shipping of the tank.

I bought a titan 60 gal tank for my 08 ford f-350 in 2007. My buddy bought one for his 08 GMC.

the tank was around $200 cheaper, and lighter... . BUT when you filled it it would burb out fuel when it was getting full. BOTH of the tanks had the same problem. called titan and they told us to use a larger vent line. we both tried it and it didnt work. Titan then said OK well look it to it. never heard from them again. my buddy recontacted titan and also got no response. they will not get any more of my money.

I went with the titan becaude it was a poly tank and was lighter. my other friend put a transfer flow in his 09 f-450 with ZERO issues.

I've bought 2 tanks for prior trucks from transfer flow. and will buy my next one from them also. there customer service is top notch also. (had a small issue with my first tank)

The new tank works great. The manual that come with the take needs a little help.

If you get the mid-ship replacement tank keep the OEM filler tube it works. I will post photos. of the install. Second do not adjust the float I did and when I installed it it read wrong had to drop the tank again and adjust the float back to where it started and it is within plus or minus 1 gal. .

Besides those two issues the tank work it fits under the truck with no problem.

I do recommend it.

Photos of filler tube and back of tank

The photo's of the filler tube is the oem one. The one that came with the tank does not have the bracket around the top. The last photo is the back of the tank it's 8 feet long.
