I'm using a 31/2" DYNOMAX Bullet racing mufler from my local Advance Auto Parts $35 it's a well made mufler and sounds good too!

if you driving a 4X4 you might want to consider changing the pipe runnnig past the tranfercase also, the stock piece is nasty

Hey JULIOMC!

Check out the posting in the "Product Forum" titles 'Muffler Change Out'! I have also seen J. Donnelly, Old School and others recommend this muffler (Walker 21468). If I'm not mistaken this is the muffler that Ted Jannetty (JRE) modifys for his performance exhaust systems. Give him a call & get his opinion (203)753-7223.

Hope this provides some additional help!

A piece of 3" aluminized stainless made to 43 1/2" in length with a flange on both ends seems to work fine and it sounds better! Plus it'll only run you about $10 to have it made!

I put a Series 70 Flowmaster on mine. A little steeper admission than other choices, but produces rich, mellow sound at tailpipe, low internal resonance and seems to let the turbo spool faster compared with the stock muffler.
