Replace your flexplate when upgrading your auto!!

buddy ripped his flexpates heart out with crazy larry on his 06 with 7K miles on it. stock tq had a heat ring on the converter

How come all these manufacterers are listing these to '04 and thats it??? Ive got an '05 getting ready to do converter and valve body but all I have is an Edge EZ. Planning on towing normally I dont drag race. Might want to hook sled once or twice. Probably upgrade to BD ram X-power the smaller one, and an intercooler later.

So does anyone know the answere to this??? Do I NEED the flexplate with my power and intended uses????

just ask yourself "do ya feel lucky?" do you want to tow your truck home, pull the trans and add it later?. I paid under 500 bucks, the tow alone could be a few hundred.

My guess is YES, you should go billet. If you are going to be hooking to a sled with the dynamic loading that is involved, there is no way that I would NOT put a flex plate in it! even if your horsepower is stock.

Access cover plate

cali-600, Yes their is a small access cover plate that goes over the holes in your picture. This is where you access the T/C to flexplate bolts. If I could figure out how to resize the pictures correctly I could attach some for reference. I think I have the picture resize under control so here's a picture of the cover plate and the ATS SFI flexplate.

flex plate! I thought you were sold on the tc and vb. if you like lock to lock shifts then get the input shaft also.
