So finally got to the bottom of it. Re cleaned every connection I could find relating to batteries and alternator. In the process had the new Bosch alternator rechecked again and found that it was shot. Put the old one back on. Also replaced the heater intake relay with a new one. Put that all back together and its back to normal. So I'm thinking the heater relay was the problem the whole time but was an on and off problem which intern smoked the new alternator. I'm just glad it wasn't the ecm called on availability and price and wow did those go up in price from the last one I bought. Thanks again for all the help and suggestions!
