Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Replaced four banjo's and have a ???

I replaced the banjo on the bottom of my fuel filter with a tapped one for my new FP guage. Today I replaced the one on the side and two kind of below and to the rear of the fuel filter. My question is do I need to replace the (Schraeder???) valve on the VP44 and the return banjo, or are those OK to leave alone. And also did I miss any others. Sorry for the stupid question but I couldn't find it in the search (16 pages!!!)

Why are you changing them? If the answer to the question is to reduce restriction in the fuel suppy from the tank to the injection pump, then the bolt on the pump needs to be replaced also. From your description, I think you changed the inlet and outlet banjo bolts on both the fuel filter and transfer pump.

You do need to change the schrader on the inlet to the VP-44, that is the bottleneck right now . The banjo change out is worth it , IMHO... ... ... ... ... ... . Kevin

The banjo on the "outlet"...

of the VP44 hav a built in valve to keep the internal pressure at 14lbs or less. No "positive" gain by changing it.

Reason to change banjo bolts is to increase pump life.

The factory banjo's are a restriction. Changing bolts, allows greater flow, more fuel with less restriction is supposed to increase lift pump life, and injector pump life.

Ah! That makes sense. I gather that Geno's offers these in a kit form. The next question would be is by opening up the banjo bots, are they now bigger in volume allowed than the volume allowed through the fuel supply line?Oo.

-6AN and Weber fittings, there is no substitute ( 'cept for -8AN and Webers, if you really have a extreme fueling need). I have the -6AN set up, which is more than enough with the right lift pump.
