Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Replacement Air Filter

Bought a stock air filter replacement from Napa today they told me the list price was 40. 00 but I could have it for 24. 00 I bought it and just checked Genos I should of just ordered one from genos and saved a couple $$.



The Napa filter has the foam in there but it is not glued to the filter. My last one from Genos had no foam. Should I use the foam or throw it out

I think the purpose of the foam is sound deadening. I have been using Purolator filters, about $18. 00 from Advannce Auto Parts. bg
