What are the best pads to put back on these trucks. Got 55,000 miles on the stock set and I have had lots of really heavy loads behind this truck. Just wondering what pads everyone else is running and what mileage you are getting out of them. I can get the OEM Dodge pads for $41. 56 fronts and $43. 05 rears. I have owned chevys all my life and never got that kind of wear on a set of pads.

I ordered a set of the Hawk HPs from Geno's and have been very happy with them... . Before the Hawks I ran the Bendix HDs for about 30K miles with the lifetime warranty - Removed the worn out Bendix pads installed the Hawks took the Bendix and returned for a new set. Now I have a new standby set on the shelf. .

I know that brake pad performance (feel) is a matter of personal preference - to me the Hawks have a softer pedal than the Bendix and seem to also have less fade. As far as longevity the Hawks are wearing pretty good so far.

Good Luck

Got them at Advanced Auto. The receipt I had was a thermal ink receipt and they fade over time (kinda like the old fax machine paper) you could not even read the receipt and they gave me a new set. :p

I think a lot of companies use the thermal ink/paper receipts hoping they will fade and not have to honor their "lifetime" warranties. Kinda like disappearing ink on checks.

I got 54,000 out of the stockers. I replaced mine with OEM pads, but be careful Dodge offers 2 grades of pads, with about a $40 differance in price between the two

I only have 25,000 on my stock pads and they need to be replaced. Anyone running Carbon Metalics?? I have heard nothing but good things about them.
