I have to replace my air and fuel filters, I had the oil and filter changed a couple times locally. I called the nearest dealer, Vancouver Dodge for price and availabilty on the filters. The have an "ample" amount, and I know why. Air filter $32. 85", that is a 200% profit above Geno's, who I am sure makes some profit. Fuel "$38. 49", that is an additional 50% over Geno's. I ordered from Geno. If I could have afforded to order more than one of each I would have, deferring the reasonable shipping charge. I went to this dealer originally and they pressured the hell out of me to purchase, today, NOW!. They even brought in a second salesman, "the hot closer" to further pressure me. I sold cars once upon a time and until I got the Dodge I bought my last 5 rides from the same man at the same dealer for a total of over $125,000. 00 worth of sales. That is the way to do business. I am being obejective, no name calling, no headlines saying "Don't go here". I will leave it to you considering my experience where you might want to go in the this area to buy a Dodge, or not. Some people are in it for the long haul, and some want to gouge and go. Thanks TDR for the referral to Geno's, I will most likely continue to do business there for years to come. I won't advertise where I did go for my beast, I still got hit harder than I should have, but I that was partially my fault, but it wasn't in Vancouver.

Is the fuel filter canaster hub 1-1/8" or 1-1/4", anybody know for sure? I sold my big tools a long time ago and will have to get the socket just for this job.

Thanks guys for info. I will check out NW since I wanted to change my filters before the weekend trip. I thought there was Cummins shop around here, but couldn't find it. Thanks. Thanks also for the socket size, TDR rulez.

Changed the filter last night, kind of disappointing, it was so easy. ;)

1 1/8" it is. Got the filter from a fleetguard dealer for $13. 88 Can. ( about 5 bucks U. S. ). I was expecting the original to be quite dirty but was surprisingly clean.

Oh well, we are going on our first long trip with our new TT and didn't want any surprises.

I changed my filter around 6k and then again at 12 k. Both times they were pretty clean. I will go the 12-15k now between changes. I always carry a new filter in the truck, just in case.

I think it cost about the same but it's hard to tell when Genos doesn't send catalogues to the Great White North.

Cheers Ken

I get my filters at the local Cummins dealer, Cookson Motors. I bought my gauges from Geno's and will continue to buy stuff from them, but its just easier to get the filters here. I wish I could get a Geno's catalogue here, too.

Gonzo2,

Nice looking truck and FWIW, I don't think it's cheezy! ;) Did ya plan the pics for the one day that there is snow on the ground in Victoria!!!! LOL

Thanks Dave! That was just before I pulled out the old Ski-Doo and stunk up the neighborhood with two stroke Syntec. They still complain, but it sure was fun sledding around the old town.

Probably why they won't send 'em, cause there not written in Canadian!:D :D

Dave
