Mopar is asking $71. 00 for the plastic indicator, seems to be too high. Thought that I had read in the TDR about replacing the indicator

FIlter Minder Located!!!

Thanks for the web address (dieselpage.com), located the Filter Minder @ $25. 50 + shipping. First time asking for help on the TDR web site," works great " .

Thanks again Scott

Oo.

Why did you replace your filter minder? I have just over 40K on my truck and it has never moved. I am wondering if it might be broken.

i am sure glad i look at tdr today, was about to go to mopar and pay my 70. 00 for one of them filter minders. i guess i suck my old one into. ??? Oo. Oo.

air filter minder

If you have a stock engine and keep your filter clean, you may never see the minder move. Had mine for 5 years, then bombed with tst #8, and found out gotta keep the filter cleaner! If you have a vacuum tester (little plastic pump thing for bleeding brakes, etc) just hook to minder and vacuum it. Be careful, does not take much. You can actually move it by sucking on the end. Pretty sensitive device. :p

Some folks have had the top of the filter minder crack and break. That would be the only reason I could think of to replace it.

Unfortunately, I already gave mine away or someone could have mine.

If anyone has one they are not using and would like to pass it on to someone who needs one, by all means speak up.
