Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Replacement for vacuum 4X4?

A few years ago, someone offered a mechanical (cable?) replacement for the vacuum actuator that locks in the front end for 4X4. My actuator has been a little flakey this week and if I need to replace it, I'd like to go with a mechanical set-up. I checked all vacuum connections and they look good.



Anyone know if a mechanical actuator conversion is vailable?
