Transfer Flow's products are excellent and the company stands behind their products with customer assistance. There are a couple other manufacturers which I'm not familiar with but other members have their products.

Transfer flow,i have a 74gal inbed tank,5yrs,350,000mi,no problems automatic transfer,

dash mount read out,would recomend.

I have a Titan OEM replacement tank (52 gal. ) seems to be working ok. Few minor problems on the install, but seems to be worked out now.

This is the tank I was considering. What were the few minor problems?

Nothing much. I did not torque the sending unit ring tight enought the first time around, so when I filled the tank to the top it would leak. I re torqued it and it worked fine.

The other matter is the fitment is very tight, just pay close atention on your vent line routing. There is very little room between the truck bed and the replacement tank.

Also now, not sure why I get some splash back when I fill up / top off the tank. You just need to be a little carfull when topping the tank off. May be a vent line issue or just a normal thing, not sure. I need to call Titan and ask.

Over all I am happy, works good.

Troy,

Do you have a link to their web page?

I've got the TransferFlo 50g TraxII. Love it no problems. Readout in cab tells you how many gallons in both tanks and total. Stock gauge still works the same, everything automatic.

I have both the Transfer Flow replacement 56 gallon tank, and the 98 gallon in-bed Transfer Flow tank. Both have been excellent. I highly recommend TF products and service; also, their instructions and kits are complete so you don't have to stop the installation and search locally for some obscure part.

Checked their site and found they don't make a tank for crew cab/short bed combo. :(

Titan's website is not up to date. They informed me via email that they make a 50 gallon tank along with a 16 gallon tank that goes underneath the spare tire for the crew cab short bed trucks.

Bret Olsen from Titan tanks sent me this email; My question, what do you offer for a Crew Cab short bed?

We have a new tank model 7030210 that will fit your truck it will start shipping next month it is 56 gallons. I will contact you as soon as we begin shipping . Sam

That's good news!

I had a TITAN tank and it always burps out. called titan and they said need bigger vent line... . ( customer service is less than stellar) change out to 1/2" vent line... and it still burped out. very annoying. my buddies chevy with the titan tank does the exact same thing. (titan says hmmmm ?? must be a freak issue)

I had a transfer flow tank in 2 diff trucks with no problems.

another friend put in a xfer flow tank due to my issues with titan and he has zero issues. (identical truck)

i went with titan due to saving $150. over xfer flow and it was 150# lighter. my next tank will be a xfer flow.

I just had the TransferFlow 58 Gallon OEM replacement tank put in my MegaCab. LOVE IT! I've filled it three times... twice at the regular pumps and once at the truck stop high speed pump and zero problems. I love the range I have now, the tanks fits perfect, it's A-1 top quality and perfect. I'm lucky in that the factory is 90 miles up the road so I took my truck in and had them install it. I was in at 11 a. m. and headed home by 3 p. m. They have a nice lounge, WiFi, movies to watch on their TV and they treat you like family. The receptionist checked on me a half dozen times offering coffee and other drinks and everyone was real nice and friendly... I think living in Chico California makes you that way. I highly recommend TransferFlow!

check with the dealership first the dealership I dealt with on a recall threatened to void the warranty on my truck if I hooked up the 90 gallon auxillary fuel/tool tank in the bed of my truck. They said any add on would void the warranty.

they ended up voided my warranty anyway at 24,000 miles due to me purchasing some fuel that they said had water in it.
