My stock muffler rattles when cold. The innards are loose. Does anybody sell a muffler to direct replace the stock one, but straight thru design inside? I don't want to change out my stock exaust pipes due to cost at this time. I see they make a pipe to replace the muffler with, but I don't know if I want the extra noise. Thanks, Herb:confused:

when the tail pipe rusted off from my muffler I just put in a piece of strait pipe. I left the resonator none of my friends believe it strait piped not much louder.

Straight piped mine a few years ago with the kit from Genos :) , a slight deeper tone but I get more (rattle :D) from the front than the rear, always did. Sounds great.

Rip has a very nice 4 inch system with a Donaldson 40 in muffler. Time for you to up grade:D Rip is not too far from you and neither am I. If you want to hear how a 4 inch system sounds, let me know and I will drop by. ;)

I replaced my stock muffler with a Dynomax straight thru type. It sounds better and supposedly lowers EGTs for towing. The shop made a reducer to go on the tailpipe, as the muffler is 4" in/out.
