Anyone have a source for steel brakeline like our trucks had OEM? With the springy thingies on them? I assume that's a protective measure, rock guard or what? Wouldn't have to be pre-bend in fact I prefer lengths. We have been using the easy bend type. Opinions, suggestions and/or sources appreciated.

You can check with places like Classic tube they make replacement steel and stainless for restos and custom. I'm sure they can help. There's others as well,if you look in most car magazines their in there.

You can buy lengths and couplings at places like NAPA Auto Parts and others. I think the ones with springs on them are to keep them from collapsing when they are bent by hand. bg

BUT..... can the lengths be bought with the spring protective layer on them? I have never seen them in a parts store, but the local stores arent just real swift on stuff like that. Cheap is the chief operating word in these parts.

Inlinetube.com has an ad in JP magazine. They show coil protected lines. try there.

If you go to the site at first glance they don't seem to have any Dodge stuff after 84, but if you click on it they get up to 94 for some stuff. I know you aren't looking for prebent but they may have legnths. Looks like they are in Michigan.

I have used inline tube in Michigan before - used to have a very good product and service for a fair price. Let me know what you find - this is the next project on my unit. . . . .
