Replacement tailgate

Wiped out my tailgate on my 2001 1 ton 4x4. I am considering a louvered tailgate as a replacement. Anyone have suggestions as to brand, vendor, v style versus straight etc. Also if anyone has taken theirs off and would like to sell it please let me know.

Tailgate lock?

Hope you don't mind me asking on the back of your thread, but it seemed appropriate! Perhaps someone may know of a weblink for a tailgate lock assembly that looks very "OEM factory" in style. I remember seeing something on the TDR more than 18 months ago, but my searches have come up with Zero so far.....

check ebay they have been going on there for about $120 even less for the first gen

Saw only one for a first gen. It was damaged and repaired. Did not notice any others... . wish I had.

If you have a vendor in your area that sells utility pickup bodies ,they normally have some pickup beds around. Call and ask about tailgates.
