I need to replace the fuse box on my o4 2500. I think they call it the total integrated power distribution center??? I was seeing if anyone has done this before and any suggestions on how best to do it.

thanks in advance for any help out there.

What symptoms are you seeing? I think I need to do this also on our '04. 5. We have no rear turn signals or headlights and I have traced almost every other possibility.

On edit: I should also say that it started with the parking lights coming on by themselves without the switch when it would rain heavy. The only way to turn them off was to disconnect the batteries.

The TIPM is only on the 06+ trucks. The the pre-06 trucks the PDC consists of the fuse box and the FCM (front control module) The FCM is a computer module hooked to the ECU with relays that run a lot of the functionality. The relays can be replaced on the FCM if you care to go that route but if the board is cracked or leaking water in it is probably better to replace it.

Unless a fire started in the fuse box most of the problems end up being the FCM.

The early ones I have seen are open to getting road spray etc into them... ... anything that can get above inner fender.

The wiring gets corroded right at the plugs and the boards fail from corrosion. The OEM replacement comes with a funky plastic deflector that will probably help, once you win the fight of installing

the problem was the lose of left turn signal and brake light to my trailer. the relay for that is in the pdc (fuse box). tried a number of fixes non worked, the relay was burned out. the fuse box is easy to get to, two bolts and one screw and than remove the
battery. there is enough wire that you can do all the work from up top. so far all has gone well with the repair. I will get the wiring hocked up tomorrow and see what I have.
