Replacing Banks Power Pack Computer

After sending my Banks computer back 5 times, I am ready to take it out all together. I have DD2 injectors and Bill K. took care of my transmission a while back. I need suggestions on which computer to install that will give me respectable power, mileage and will actually last. One of the local shops suggested a "SMARTY" box. I'm not familiar with this product but he said it was far superior to the Banks because it tweaks the timing rather than just act as an overlay to the fuel pump. Suggestions PLEEEEEZ! By the way, the Banks pyro and boost guages are misbehaving as well. So, I guess if there is a unit with guages for egt's and boost, that would be preferable. Thanks.

Since your gauges need to go I would suggest the Edge Juice w/Attitude monitor. Gives you all your gauges (boost, egt, oil pressure, fuel pressure, trans/oil temp, inlet air temp and a few others I can't remember, only 4 dispalyable though), up to 120 hp with five power levels and on the fly adjustability, a turbo-timer, plus many other cool features.



On edit: The Juice will limit egt's, max boost, and defuel if it senses transmission slip.

The Banks Ottomind monitors GET's and keeps them under 1300 (Or tries to by defueling) with DDII's the Ottomind can't take the extra fuel into consideration and begins to defuel early when it sees the rate of heat climbing in relation to RPM VS Boost. You are in effect making the truck slower. So yeah ditch the otto and go with a box. If you want EGT limiting capabilities there are a few on the market that do so.
