Replacing clutch - what lube??

What type of grease works well on the input splines? Just some regular old high temp stuff or are folks using brake caliper silicone? I had some trouble with my OFE due to the friction disk binding up on the input shaft, caused some shifting troubles. When I put this 3850 DD in I dont want to have the same issues. Thanks

ive always used a very light coating of Amsoil multi purpose grease. seems to work very well.

Spline Lube

A good grade of high temp wheel bearing grease, just enough to put a thin film on the splines. It helps prevent rust, clean the input shaft THOUROUGHLY!



Do not use anti-sieze, it does not stay put.
