Replacing fuel tank dip tube screen.

Hi Guys,



I will have my bed removed for 1 week during body work on it.

I want to inspect tank for any debris that might be inside and replace the dip tube screen while I have the tank module removed.



Not sure what tools etc I will need to do this job. Or what parts I should order ahead of time. Need help.

This should be a very straightforward job with the bed off. I'm attaching a photo from the service manual that shows how to remove the module. It specifies a special tool, but all you're really doing is unscrewing a big plastic nut.



Hopefully someone who has done the job without the special tool will suggest a method of so doing.

A rubber mallet worked just fine for me.

I used a chain wrench or a strap wrench to loosen the collar.
