Replacing Hitch on 2004...

The first step of replacing the factory hitch on my 2004 is to remove the existing one. It looks like the bumper is bolted to the hitch and not the frame. How is the bumper mounted on these that don't come with the factory hitch?



The goal of this exercise is to end-up with my Pullrite anti-sway hitch that I removed from my 2000 Dodge Ram mounted on this one.

My understanding is that trucks without the hitch still have the cross bar bolted to the frame. Picture your hitch without the receiver part.
