Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Replacing VP44

I know a lot of you have replaced your VP44. How involved is it? Just talked to the dealer, they say I have gasoline mixed in the diesel fuel. Don't know how that happened, I'm the only one that drives my truck.



My truck has been acting up and I've been getting the P0216 fault code for a couple of months now. There's no way, at I think there's no way that gasoline would still be in the tank if that's what caused the pump to fail. The trouble is proving that to Chrysler, cause with 73,000 miles, it should be covered. They know damn well there's a problem with these pumps!

I just had to do mine a month or so ago and it's not bad..... just make sure you can take your time. As far as the gas in diesel goes... ... . I think it is something that these dealers are trying to pull so they can pass the buck. There is another guy presently dealing with the same issues on this thread:
