Has anyone ever replaced the front wheelhouses? How much is involved? My right one is rusted pretty bad from a leaking battery.

Pulling the fenders is not that hard especially on that side. Once it's off you will have to drill the spot welds and then spot weld a new wheel house on. I replaced my fenders and the houses at the same so all I had to do was spot weld them together and get them painted.

That's the only way I have done it. I don't think you can change it without pulling the fender off. If you are careful you should be able to do it without messing up the paint. Maybe tape some kind of a cover over the paint to be sure.

I had some battery acid damage rust on the passenger side. If yours does not have any holes in the rust you might do like I did. Sand all of the rust away. Then use a spray can of primer. Dodge sells spray cans of touch up paint. I used that for the final coat. It looks pretty good now.

I wish it was in better shape Joe but the passenger side has a hole rusted through it you could drop a baseball through. The only bolts holding the battery tray are the two upper bolts. Dang battery acid. For right now I took that battery out until I can get it fixed. Wonder what a bodyshop would charge me?
