Not good news, if accurate (and AN is usually on it). Ford kept the Super Duty design for 17 years with just refreshes because they did the volume and customers bought the truck no matter what. I don't know if FCA will be able to sustain the current Ram HD sales volume through 2020, even if the new B6.7 can compete and a suitable transmission is available that can reduce the excessive torque management that causes the "dead pedal syndrome" many are experiencing.

It may be more political than the article lets on. If the NAFTA agreement changes maybe the advantage of producing a truck in Mexico disappears. Why redesign a line only to need to move it back to the states. I see it as more of a wait and see approach.

I'll bite......Ford super duty trucks received MAJOR design changes in 17 years. They've had at least three major engine changes not to mention all of the peripheral garbage that gets changed as well as a complete re-work of the giant POS that is the 6.7 Powerstroke. Torque Management......no, I don't like it but it didn't keep me from buying a new Cummins powered Ram last Saturday. :-laf

Too bad. I was hoping to buy another new truck soon so I can keep up with the guys on forum b.
