Howdy all,
I had my new South Bend FE clutch installed yesterday in my ETH/DEE truck. Had it installed at Dan's Transmissions in San Jose, CA, thanks to BPine's recommendation and assistance in getting the clutch for me.
It was about a 175 mile trip home, in Friday afternoon Silicon Valley traffic, so I got to shift many, many times in the slow traffic... ... . I'm going to take it fairly easy until I get at least 1000 miles on the clutch, but so far I am extremely impressed and satisfied.
Clutch pedal feels exactly like stock. Absolutely NO chatter in any gear, including reverse. It does seem to engage immediately off the floor, stock engaged about mayge an inch or two off the floor.
So, when I get a few miles on it, I'll add to this post. I will be going on a trip to visit family down in SoCal (Long Beach, San Diego, Barstow) and the good folks at DD in Vegas during Memorial Day week, probably around 2000 miles total, and when I get back, I'll add my thoughts to this post for all to read.
Feel free to email me with any questions.
Tom
