I recently had a new windshield installed and he ended up removing the whole wiper including the piece that goes on the gear. He didn't put it back on right.

How do you remove the whole wiper assembly? I would like to adjust it so when it's off it sits lower on the windshield?

Thanks

Those I have done on other vehicles in past you just pry up easy and straight and after reposition push back on. Not sure if these are different.

There is a little tab that is on the windshield side of the are at the post. Pull it out, you may need to use a little screw driver to get it to move. Once you have it out, the arm assembly will come off easily.

Make sure the tiny, brick shaped key is still in place. I'm on my third windshield (highway rocks and now-dead birds). The first time I had it replaced the guy must have let it fall out because the next time I needed the wipers that arm popped out every time I turned them on. The spline grooves inside the wiper arm were so chewed up I decided to get a new arm. It was after that I realized that it probably would have still worked with the chewed up splines, but the key is the key to the whole thing...
