I am considering reproducing the 91. 5,92 and 93 fan shrouds. I have 2 trucks that need them myself. There are several options on how to go about this.

Fiberglass mold , or steel formed. Fiberglass would be the least expensive . Steel formed would be the most time consuming if made by hand. There are other ways to produce it. But the tooling cost would to expensive for such a low production part. If the money was there I would draw up the dies and have them made to just stamp it out of steel. I don't think that there are enough of the trucks left to justify the cost.

Anyone that is interested in having a new shroud please contact me at -- email address removed -- If I get enough interest I will produce them.

If there are any other discontinued parts for first gen trucks that are needed

please mention them as well. Please include your name, address and phone #

and put fan shroud int the subject box

I am a retired chrysler engineer. I intend on remaining retired! The only reason I have any interest in making any of the parts again is because I own several of the first gen trucks and need the parts myself. Please do not ask me for help on the 2nd 3rd or what ever later gen trucks. I am not interested!

So does this mean we get to flog you for not designing the first one to last or is this your guilty conscience trying to make up for it on your own? (just kidding).

I have been building replacements out of sheetmetal usualy 12 gauge sheets, they hold up alright, but recently, I have started retrofitting the newer dodge radiators into the older trucks as it eliminates the brass cored tanks which seem to leak far sooner than the plastic tanked aluminum 2 generations. This will also allow you to utilize the newer shrouds from a 94 and up truck with little modification. Just an idea for you if not enough people decide to sign up for a a reproduction.
